Pool Update: On the Final Furlong

We're pleased to share that we're hopefully on the final furlong of getting the pool ready to reopen.
Where we are now
- There's water in the pool. After three long years, it's a sight we've been waiting a long time to see.
- The plant room has been completely replaced. As we mentioned in our last update, the old plant room needed everything replacing and redirecting. That work is now done, with a new filter, new pumps and all-new pipework in place.
- Final testing is under way. Over the coming weeks we'll be carrying out final tests on all the equipment, along with water testing and every other check required to make sure the pool is safe and ready for you.
- The pool cover is due to arrive the week commencing 17th October.
Once testing is complete and the cover is in place, fingers crossed, we'll be in a position to confirm an opening date.
A reminder of what else has been done
Alongside the pool and plant room, we've also:
- Completely refurbished the men's changing rooms, with new changing areas, showers, toilets and a baby changing station.
- Replaced the old sauna, which had rotting wood beneath it, with a new shower area featuring five shower heads.
- Installed three new state-of-the-art infrared saunas
